Our goal is to continuously evolve and adapt our operations to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a greener, healthier future.
Our Commitment to our clients
Four Plus Solutions, drawing from its wealth of experience and expertise in the nursing industry, has implemented a comprehensive sustainability program aimed at assisting healthcare facilities in their journey towards achieving Net Zero emissions and fostering sustainability practices.
One key initiative undertaken by Four Plus Solutions is the implementation of a robust training program for nursing and care staff. This program educates staff members on sustainable practices within healthcare settings, such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and environmentally-friendly procurement practices. By empowering nurses and care staff with the knowledge and tools to implement sustainable practices in their daily operations, Four Plus Solutions enables healthcare facilities to reduce their carbon footprint and work towards achieving Net Zero emissions.
Additionally, Four Plus Solutions offers consulting services to healthcare facilities to assess their current operations and identify areas for improvement in terms of sustainability. This may include conducting energy audits, recommending energy-efficient equipment upgrades, or developing waste management strategies. By partnering with Four Plus Solutions, healthcare facilities can receive tailored guidance and support to optimize their operations for sustainability while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Furthermore, Four Plus Solutions collaborates with healthcare facilities to implement innovative technologies and solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact. This may involve introducing renewable energy sources, such as solar panels or geothermal heating systems, or implementing digital solutions to streamline operations and reduce paper usage.
Through these initiatives and partnerships, Four Plus Solutions enables its clients in the healthcare sector to transition towards Net Zero emissions and embrace sustainable practices, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more environmentally-responsible future.

Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Four Plus Solutions is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
While Four Plus Solutions recognizes the importance of data-driven decision-making in our carbon reduction efforts, it is essential to acknowledge that, in the absence of comprehensive historical data for our operations, we have initially relied on averages as a practical approach to estimate our carbon emissions for the baseline year of 2023.
The absence of precise historical data can be a common challenge for organizations, especially when embarking on sustainability initiatives. Therefore, in the absence of detailed emission figures, we have calculated averages for key aspects of our operations. These averages include energy consumption, transportation emissions, waste generation, and procurement-related emissions. These averages provide a starting point for our carbon reduction efforts and enable us to set clear goals for improvement.
However, we are fully committed to streamlining our data collection and reporting processes in the coming years. We understand that accurate data is crucial for making informed decisions, tracking progress, and optimizing our carbon reduction strategies. Our commitment to this endeavour includes the following actions:
1. Data Collection Initiatives:
We will implement robust data collection processes across our operations to capture precise information on energy consumption, transportation emissions, waste generation, and procurement-related emissions.
2. Investment in Monitoring Systems:
We will explore the integration of advanced monitoring systems and software that can track real-time data, providing a more accurate and detailed picture of our carbon emissions.
3. Employee Training:
Employees will receive training on data collection and reporting, ensuring that all relevant data is consistently and accurately recorded.
4. Third-party Verification:
We will consider engaging third-party auditors to verify our carbon emissions data, providing an additional layer of transparency and credibility.
5. Continuous Improvement:
We will regularly review and update our data collection and analysis processes to reflect the latest industry best practices, enabling us to make more informed decisions.
Our commitment to data accuracy and transparency is fundamental to our carbon reduction plan. As we gradually transition from using averages to precise data, we will refine our strategies and better understand the environmental impact of our operations. This commitment is not only integral to our sustainability goals but also to our broader mission of providing high-quality nursing and care staff in a sustainable and responsible manner.

Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Four Plus Solutions is embarking on a journey of carbon reduction initiatives for the first time. As a dynamic Nursing Agency, our mission is to provide high-quality nursing and care staff to the healthcare sector, but we also recognize the pressing need to address our environmental impact and contribute to a sustainable future. With 2023 as our baseline year, we are committed to taking our first steps towards a greener and more responsible operation.
1. Environmental Assessment:
We understand that every journey begins with a single step. In our case, it starts with a comprehensive environmental assessment. This initial assessment will help us understand our current carbon footprint and identify areas where carbon reduction initiatives can be most effective.
2. Setting Clear Goals:
Based on the data collected during the environmental assessment, we will set clear and achievable carbon reduction goals. While this is our first venture into sustainability, we aim to establish targets that align with best practices and industry standards.
3. Energy Efficiency:
Energy conservation will be a central focus of our carbon reduction strategy. We will work to improve the energy efficiency of our offices and operational facilities, starting with a detailed energy audit to identify opportunities for reduction.
4. Transportation Initiatives:
We recognize the significance of transportation emissions, and we are committed to reducing our impact. This will involve encouraging employees to adopt green commuting practices and investigating opportunities for a more sustainable staff transportation fleet.
5. Waste Reduction:
In our first foray into sustainability, we will implement a comprehensive recycling program and promote paperless operations to minimize waste generation.
6. Sustainable Procurement:
We will initiate efforts to source products and services locally and sustainably. While this may be a new direction for us, it is integral to reducing the carbon footprint associated with our procurement processes.
7. Carbon Offset and Green Investments:
To compensate for our initial emissions and support environmental causes, we will explore the possibility of investing in renewable energy sources and carbon offset projects.
8. Employee Engagement:
We understand the importance of fostering a culture of sustainability among our employees. We will embark on awareness campaigns, training, and incentive programs to engage our workforce in our carbon reduction journey.
9. Continuous Learning:
As we begin our carbon reduction initiatives, we acknowledge that this is a learning process. We will continuously seek knowledge, stay updated on industry trends, and adapt our strategies to become more effective in reducing our carbon footprint.
Four Plus Solutions is excited to embark on this new and transformative journey. We understand that our commitment to sustainability is not just an environmental responsibility but also a reflection of our dedication to providing high-quality care in a responsible and ethical manner. Our first steps in 2023 mark the beginning of a greener, more sustainable future for our organization and the healthcare sector we serve.
